Strengths: Young possesses excellent athleticism and size for an NBA small forward. He's a good spot-up shooter from the outside. He possesses good mechanics, especially when spotting up for his shot. Young also finishes well at the basket both in transition and in the halfcourt game. Young has great defensive potential given his physical attributes.
Weaknesses: His ballhandling is pretty under-developed, and that really hurts the effectiveness of his perimeter game. His decision-making isn't great. He pulls up for some bad mid-range shots and doesn't always take advantage of his size by posting up opponents. Young also doesn't get to the line as much as you'd like. His defensive awareness also needs a lot of work, as do his defensive fundamentals in general.
Outlook: Young will probably be a mid-first rounder in this draft, based mostly on his athletic tools and potential to go along with his ability to hit the spot-up jumper from outside. The rest of his game has a lot of question marks, but if he can improve his ballhandling most of it should just naturally come together.
